LONGQUAN CELADON WASHER
SOUTHERN SONG DYNASTY (1127-1279)
9.3 cm diameter, 3.5 cm high
The small washer is delicately potted and supported on a raised foot rising to spreading sides and flaring rim. The washer is covered with a luminous blue-green glaze suffused with a network of even crackles. The recessed base is glazed. The unglazed foot rim shows the orange-brown fired clay.
